My Most Anticipated YA Book Releases In the First Half of 2018!

My favorite kind of book is YA, so I decided to go through some books that are being released in 2018 that I might enjoy, I'm gonna put the book and the plot in here, with the link to the Goodreads page of that book.

This is my first half of 2018 releases, I'm doing another most anticipated for the second half sometime in June.

I'm trying a different method here, I'm putting the month, and then the day of each book at the beginning of that book, and I'm saying all the one that caught my attention, but the books which plot I share with you are the books that I'm most excited to read.

My 2017 resolutions check up!

This is has been probably one of the worst, but even with the bad there was also the good, and that is what I want to show you here. I want to go back on my 2017 resolutions and see what I accomplished, I want to see what I want to add on my 2018 resolutions and I want to try my best to do it, at least most of it. So let's see what 2017 had for me.

Blog:
  • Have a header designed. - oops, kind of forgot about it...
  • Work more on blog ideas. - I think I had some good posts, at least I posted more this year.
  • Try new settings. - Didn't keep them, but still trying.
  • Create a blog series. - Do reviews count?

Life:

  • Stay Positive.
  • Be more confident.
  • Never give up.
  • Save money. - Kind of...
  • Try yoga or body balance. - I tried this literally last month, I liked it and went for 3 weeks and got bored... sorry. It's good though
  • Read more! - I made a Goodreads challenge of reading 15, then 25, then stopped at 30, and I read 46 books!
  • Stop comparing myself to others.
  • Focus more on University.
  • Create a Spotify account.  - I did this!!
  • Be more social.
  • Be organized.
  • Explore new places. - Nhe.
  • Try Hand Lettering. - Damn it, I forgot!

Photography:
  • Save money to invest in a new camera. - I kind of lost my motivation to pursue photography...
  • Learn more about photography.  - I did learn more about the functions of my camera.
  • Take a photography class. - I had a photography class in university but learned almost nothing, I learned more when giving a photography class for high school students!
  • Find a good editing software besides photoshop. - I tried Lightroom but my teachers taught nothing!
  • Try to take one photo a day, even if it's a photo of my dogs. - I started the year strong with this one but stopped because most days I wasn't feeling well.

Healthy Eating and Exercise:

  • Drink more water. - kind of did it!
  • Work out 4/5 days a week. - 3 days most weeks.
  • Try out Smoothies. - Tried 2, one of them was awful!
  • Drink tea instead of sodas or coffee. - Drank water!
  • Don't eat after 9pm. - Most nights that didn't work out...
  • Learn how to cook. - Still to learn...
  • Plan my meals. - did not.
  • Improve my flexibility. - During those 3 weeks of body balance, I feel like I improved.
  • Eat more healthy. (good luck). - good luck indeed...

So that's it! I made some and other I didn't but still, I checked out more than I was expecting...
Did you accomplish your 2017 resolutions?

2017 Book Covers I Loved most!

2017, what a year, full of ups and downs and full of new book releases.
I decided to go through the books that came out in 2017 and see which covers I loved most, and there are quite a few, so let's dive into it!

These will not be in any specific order, I just went through the books and marked the covers I liked. I'm not saying the book is either good or bad, just talking about the covers, mostly because I've read almost none of these. I have the e-books of these ones and I was just scrolling through them and thought it would be funny to write a post like this.

One thing you need to know about me is that I like simple covers, so if you see some covers that you're like "Nah, that's too simple for me", then it's because it is, but to me, I love it.

I'm also not going to talk about each one in particular, so enjoy the covers!

My Christmas Wishlist! 2017

I just realize I haven’t posted a Christmas post since December started and I need to change that, so I decided to go and see what books I really want this Christmas even though I'm definitely not getting them all. And I feel like it's quite a big list if it were top 5 maybe it would be tolerable to buy the book but oh well.

So basically the books that I really really want are the ones that are translated because rarely I buy books in English, normally I stick for the ebooks for that one. But here are the ones that I want in a physical copy. And I'm only showing 10 of the books I most want.

New On My Shelves #1

Since I'm (recently) a book lover, nerd, whatever you want to name it, I seem to be incapable of buying a book every time I travel somewhere even if it's an hour away from home. So I bought and received some books, the ones I'm going to show you are the ones I bought since September, so it's not that bad.

My Empties #1

This is basically a favorite throughout the year, these are products I really loved and finished and kept the empty bottle in case I did this post, which I'm doing, eheh. And also to kind of remember to buy more if I can find them, but no luck so far.

So let's go with categories, maybe I'll divide this post in 2, just so it's not that long, but they'll both be up before the end of the year because this is my empties for 2017 basically.
Categories:
- Perfume;
- Shampoo;
- Hair mascara (I don't know the name in English but yeah, help);

Alphabethon | Round 4! Wrap Up.

For the challenges, I completed these ones, I'm only counting 6 because of the last one, but still, 6 challenges is an amazing accomplishment!

Challenges:

Read a book with two D’s. (Title, Author’s first name, or last name begin with D)
Dreadnought by April Daniels.

Read a book with an MC (main Character) whose name starts with D.
Dreadnought April Daniels.

Read a book with a D setting. (Town, City, State, etc. begins with D)
And then there were none by Agatha Christie. It takes place in Devon! (And the book in Portuguese, my language, begins with a “D” (As Dez Figuras Negras))

Read a book that has an object on the front or back Cover that begins with D. (words beginning with D do not count)
Giant Days – volume 5 by John Allison

Read a book over 400 pages
- 5 volumes of Giant Days count? I’m counting them.

Read a book under 200 pages.
In Real Life by Cory Doctorow and Jen Wang.

Read a Horror book (since this round is so close to Halloween)

-I’m not doing this challenge because I hate horror (any kind), so can I count a Thriller? Because And then there were none by Agatha Christie is a Thriller. (And in Portuguese the title starts with “D”)

Alphabethon | Round 4! Day 1 & 2.

I never had heard of this readathon and I heard about it the day it had started, so basically I wanted to participate but with school and work it was going to be hard, it is going to be hard (I'm writing this on the first day). I woke up and heard about it and after a couple of minutes, I thought about participating even if I weren't going to read much.

There are challenges and I'm filling this as the days go by and I'm interested in a book.

The rules of this readathon round 4 are: reading a book that starts with a D, or the author's first or last name starts with a D.

Summer Favorites 2017

I decided, in order to kind of remember this summer, to do little summer favorites!

Lately, I've been making more effort on my skincare, so I've accumulated quite some things that I really enjoyed.

Finally Fall Book Tag!

Yes, 2 tags in a row, oh well... I'm really enjoying doing tags so if you know come that you would like for me to do then feel free to tell me.

Anyways, fall... not my favorite season because it marks the beginning of school, but is still an enjoyable season, everything is more orange, which is my favorite color, and yellow and red. Halloween in my street we don't that many kids anymore, we all grew up, so the spirit of giving candy is dying in here, but still, one or two small groups still appear.
I decided to do this tag because, like I said, I'm really enjoying doing these, so why not do a fall book tag? Let's see how it goes.

A to Z | Book Tag

I don't know who invented this tag but I was feeling like doing it. Basically  it has 26 "questions" corresponding to each letter of the alphabet. So let's start!

Girl Online Trilogy by Zoe Sugg Review

Is this a series or a trilogy? There's only 3 books out but I'm not sure if there's going to be more...

I received the first 2 books on Christmas 2015 because they knew I liked Zoella, then the 3rd book I received Christmas 2016, but I still haven't read the others. And since I've had them for a while I decided this was the year I would read all 3, and I did, and it was average ...  The whole series rating is 3 stars.
I'm gonna talk about them separately because I have a different rate for each one.

How did that happen?

Weird title for a blog post right? I just want to talk about my panic attacks and that's how I feel ... How did it happen? Why did they start?

So first of all, Hi, hello, how are you?

Like I said I have no idea of why my panic attacks started, basically, I was on vacation two years ago, and when me and my family got out to go to the beach I remembered I had forgotten something in our apartment upstairs, so I had to go back alone in an elevator, and that's when it started.I couldn't breathe right, I kept thinking about what was happening, it felt like something was crushing my lungs, and then the door opened and I got out and I could breathe again. (Was this a panic attack? I'm still not sure). I called my mom and told her was happened so she came upstairs and we both went back downstairs and nothing happened, and I was very confused and decided to let it go, it was probably nothing.

Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch Review

Yes, another 5-star book review.
I read this while on vacation, I thought it was the perfect time to read this book.

First of all, I always wanted to go visit Italy, I'm an art student, so you can guess why I want to go there. And then I read this book, and now, I want to go there even more. And eat gelato.
While reading this book I started craving gelato so badly!!

Vacation Haul!

Does anyone else have vacation hangover? No? Only me? ok.

In the last week of July, I went o my so long wanted vacation! Wohoo.
I went to a city called Portimão, in Portugal and stayed there for a week. Basically my routine there was waking up, eat breakfast at the local shopping, shop (of course), go home, have lunch, go to the beach, become a lobster (at least the first day), home, dinner, night walks, sleep. and repeat.
So I didn't buy as much as last year because I'm saving up for when I go study in Latvia (Erasmus+ program), but still I bought quite a few things that I wanted to share with you.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon Review

I heard about this book, I wanted to read it, but they haven't translated it yet to Portuguese, which is my language. I decided to wait a few months (it took 2 months) for this book to come out in pt. But I didn't like the translation of the title (yes, I'm weird), so I didn't buy right away.
I heard about the movie coming out, saw the trailer and then I was like... Nope, I have to buy this. And I did. And I'm glad.

You probably notice that I only reviewed 2 books in this blog (this one now and Looking for Alaska by John Green), and both are 5 stars, but I normally only buy books that I'm sure I will enjoy. If you find one that is only 1 or 2 stars then probably someone gave it to me as a present. I still appreciate it, doesn't mean I like it.

Anyway. Moving on to the real review.

Turning 20!!

This was the year I turned 20! Wth? How have I lived for 2 decades already?
I was born July 2nd, 1997 at 2:15AM (I feel sorry for my mom). Basically my mom's birthday is July 1st, and basically, she ate the cake and went to the hospital because I wanted to be born, so yeah, I feel sorry for her but at the same time I kind of wish it was on the same day as her.

Saturday Vibes

Lately, I haven't had much time for myself, so I decided this Saturday was going to be a "me day".

I woke up at 10AM, earlier than I used to, and decided to change my room a little bit. I ate my breakfast and then I started cleaning and changing stuff around.
I never heard any podcasts, it's not something I'm used to doing because they can be quite boring, and normally while I clean my room I put music on, this time, I decided to ear the first "episode" of 2 podcasts I heard about.

Back Again

Hello everyone!! I know I've been MIA but college, work, and life it's hard to combine.

I decided to try again to blog since I actually enjoyed this more than videos (I tried starting a youtube channel but I am really bad at making videos because my face won't cope with it), I want to dedicate more time to the blog even though I don't have many ideas of what I want to talk about and how am I gonna talk about those ideas but I'm trying.

I don't know what the next blog post is gonna be about but probably something about my birthday 10 days ago... We'll see.

I really hope you stick around with me, because I really want to meet new people with the same interests as me, since that's quite hard in real life.

I hope you're having a fantastic day!!

Cheer Up!!

So... My grandmother passed away last week and I didn't know how to deal with the pain and make it all go away, I needed to cheer up and all but just couldn't, and recently I finally started to become a little bit happier, and some of the things that helped me going through that process are the ones that I'm going to mention next.

My Guilty Pleasures!

My Guilty Pleasures:

One Direction
Yeah, that's right, I like One Direction, I have since 2011 and even went to their concert in Portugal in 2015, unfortunately, I don't think they kept going as a band, Zayn left the band and created is own music, which I love !! Niall and Louis were next, AND I LOVED their songs, now I'm just waiting for Liam and Harry. But yes, I still love them although I'm almost 20, and I'm not ashamed of it!

Pinterest
I discovered Pinterest last year and I've been hooked since then, I'm usually looking for easy recipes, inspiration, fitness related posts, quotes, and drawings. Pinterest is always there on my phone waiting for me to click open so they can make me love this app even more... oops, it's working.

Pokemon Go

Yeah, I love pokemon Go, and you're probably thinking I'm just another one of those stupid idiots that leaves the house just to catch pokemon... well yeah, at the beginning of this app I did that, but now it's only when I really need to get out of the house, it has had a time when I was bored of it, but they changed it up a bit and now I think I'm loving it again. save me.

Series

You probably have this guilty pleasure too you know? I watch about 30 different series, I got lost several times, I can't remember which episode I was on TVD or Once Upon a Time, but I'm still going to find it, watch it and love every second of it. This is a guilty pleasure just because when I should be studying I'm thinking "Just one more episode".

Burlesque
In case you don't know, Burlesque it's a movie starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, I've watched it five times in just a month, and still haven't got bored of it.

What are your guilty pleasures? let me know. 😊
